Chie received a special commission from the Independence Palace for handmade cement tiles to be installed in the Security Room, an area open to public visitors. Instead of introducing a brand-new design, our brief was to meticulously replicate the original yellow and gray cement tiles that had naturally faded and worn over the decades.
Client requirement: Tiles must match the original yellow-grey palette. High standards for thickness, hardness, and color durability are mandatory.
Work starts post-6:30 PM. Only one night is available for on-site color assessment in the Security room. After that, the area will be fenced off, and visitors can only take pictures from the outside.
With the samples approved by the client, Chie has started production. We are committed to finishing the project on time for the upcoming visitor tours of the Security room.
To be specified for the Security Room within this historic palace, our cement tiles had to meet incredibly strict quality, technical, and long-term durability standards. After rigorous rounds of assessment, sample testing, and color-matching, we were absolutely thrilled when Chie’s materials were officially approved for the project.
